The 2016 Emerging Leaders program for the Washington, DC area

The 2016 Emerging Leaders program for the Washington, DC area will be held at two locations:

1)    Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, 8300 Boone Blvd., Suite 450, Tysons Corner, VA 22182, and;

2) Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation, 1801 McCormick Drive Suite 350, Largo MD, 20774

The goal of the Emerging Leaders program is to give small business owners the tools, training, and networks to turn growth plans into action. We provide customized training for business owners who have been in business for at least 3 years, have annual revenue of at least $400,000 and a maximum of $10 million, and have at least 1 employee besides the owner, with the registered participant being someone at the C level (CEO, CFO, COO, etc.) to qualify.  For more information on the program please refer to our SBA Emerging Leaders link: https://www.sba.gov/about-sba/sba-initiatives/sba-emerging-leaders-initiative

We are currently identifying small to medium size businesses located within the Washington Metro Area that show a high potential for growth.  We are asking for your support in this effort by referring a few businesses that would be a good fit.  All participant applicants however MUST register for the program through our third party provider, Interise at: https://www.interise.org/sbaemergingleaders

Our classes will begin in early April, and will conclude in late October 2016.   This program helps participants emerge with successful, growth-oriented businesses. The program includes 100 hours of combined in-class time, pre-work/assignments and peer-to-peer mentoring.  Through this unique training opportunity, we provide participants with the know-how, networks, and resources to grow a successful business. Space is limited and applicants will be interviewed.
